We understand that a child's biological age is often different from their chronological age. This is particularly important when we discuss Peak Height Velocity (PHV): the period where children grow at their fastest rate. During PHV, bones often outgrow muscles, leading to a temporary loss of coordination or what parents sometimes call the "clumsy phase."
